Thoughts on Governor Romney

I don't know for certain why this is, but recently I've really warmed up to Mitt Romney in the Republican field. Funny, because I used to not like him. But ever since Tom Tancredo left back in December, my #2 slot has been vacant. While I admire Mitt Romney, he still will not receive my vote in the Virginia primary: that belongs to Congressman Paul. It is my policy to vote for the candidate I agree with the most, so Ron Paul gets my vote.

One reason I think I like Mitt more than I used to is that I have realized that in comparison (contrast?) to other politicians, his flip-flops could have been worse. Romney changed his mind on several key issues, but while he was in office. Rudy "changed" his policies on immigration, etc, in between his mayorality and his candidacy for President; the same applies for Huckleberry, etc.

As far as conservatives in the race, right now it's Paul, Fred, and Romney. I'm hearing rumors Thompson is done (which I believe is the case), and I don't see Ron Paul doing any better than the 8-10% he's been getting.

That leaves Romney.
