The Folly of NBC12

This is not just surprising. As a loyal watcher of NBC12, I find this is unacceptable. Why would Richmond's market leader (see here) axe some of its most likable upper echelon talents, some of whom are arguably Richmond institutions?
Expect a loss in viewership, here.
Three of the most familiar on-air faces at WWBT-Channel 12 have been laid off.
Long-time sports director Ben Hamlin, anchor Gene Lepley and Henrico and Hanover County reporter Rob Richardson are among the seven employees from several departments whose jobs were eliminated today.
